A devastating fire in southern Norway has destroyed more than 100 homes, forcing hundreds of people to evacuate.
However, the cause of the fire is not yet known.
According to police and the country’s state broadcaster, the fire broke out in a townhouse in the city of Drammen at around 3:30 p.m. on Friday.
The fire then quickly spread to surrounding residential areas and nearby forests.
The entire area was covered in thick black smoke due to the fire.
The fire quickly spread through rows of residential buildings in the city of Drammen, about 34 kilometers southwest of the capital Oslo.
Police said that no casualties or missing persons have been reported in the incident so far.
Firefighters worked through the night to bring the fire under control, and their operation continued Saturday morning.
