Air defense forces successfully intercepted three drones approaching Moscow . Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin announced this on his channel on the Max platform .
“The Ministry of Defense’s air defense system destroyed three UAVs flying toward Moscow,” the mayor’s post reads.
He also noted that emergency services are already working at the site of the fallen debris.
The number of drones shot down en route to Moscow since the start of the day has reached 19, according to calculations based on data released by Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin.
On June 27, a heightened alert was declared in the Moscow region due to drone activity. The Unified State Emergency Prevention and Response System warned of possible disruptions to mobile internet service. Additionally, it issued a reminder that filming drones and air defense systems is prohibited.
Earlier, Sobyanin reported that an attack by more than 45 UAVs had been repelled.
